mxHERO provides a free demo tenant so you can try AI email search with mxMCP before indexing your own email. It is preloaded with mock business email, public newsletters and a fictional legal case. Use this page to connect to the demo and to find sample questions that show what the search can do.
Note: Mail2Cloud Advanced, including mxMCP, is in early access, and mxHERO provisions it for your organization on request. The demo needs only a demo account from mxHERO.
Before you begin
- An AI assistant that supports remote MCP connectors, such as Claude or ChatGPT.
- A demo account from mxHERO. Ask your mxHERO representative for one.
Sign in with the demo account, not your own address. Your own address opens your organization's index if mxHERO has linked it to a scope. If it isn't linked, sign-in stops with "No mxHERO account is set up for…".
Connect to the demo
Add mxMCP to your assistant as described in Installing mxMCP.
On Sign in to mxHERO, enter the demo account in Email or demo account and click Email me a code. You're signed in at once. No email is sent.
-
Ask a first question:
How many emails are there total?
Note: Demo account sessions last 24 hours and don't refresh, so you sign in again each day. Anyone who knows a demo account address can use it, so don't treat it as private.
mxMCP tells the assistant that you are signed in to a demo account, and the assistant tells you once in the conversation that the results are sample email, not your own.
What's in the demo tenant
- Mock business communications and newsletters. You can browse the source messages in mxHERO's demo email folder.
- Project Horizon, a fictional legal dispute of 40 emails mixed into about 2,000 unrelated emails. It tests whether the AI can find a small, connected set of messages in a large archive. The original emails are in the Project Horizon folder.
About Project Horizon
The case is entirely fictional. A software company, Innovate Solutions, sues Quantum Dynamics and its subcontractor Visionary Tech Systems over a failed data-migration project. The emails run from 2022 to 2025 and cover:
- The master services agreement: draft, revisions to liability caps, signed version, and the subcontract
- Project delays, a notice of default and a 30-day cure period
- Hiring outside counsel, the complaint, the answer and counterclaim
- Discovery, depositions and expert reports
- Settlement talks and a later discovery-deadline order
Key people include Mark Chen (CEO, Innovate Solutions), Laura Petrova (CEO, Quantum Dynamics), David Rodriguez (CEO, Visionary Tech Systems), plaintiff counsel Anya Sharma at Sterling & Locke LLP, and opposing counsel Julian Thorne and Olivia Grant at Thorne & Associates.

Project Horizon
Looking at the email record, please provide an overview of Project Horizon.
From the emails, please provide a detailed overview of all conversations regarding Project Horizon. Conduct multiple searches to get the most complete picture. Once you have all the details, build a dashboard overview.
The mxMCP connector itself doesn't build dashboards. Assistants that can create documents or artifacts, such as Claude, build the dashboard themselves from the search results. You can also add one of mxHERO's optional dashboard connectors; see Installing mxMCP.
Warning: A dashboard made with mxHERO's dashboard connectors can be opened by anyone with its link, without signing in, for 90 days, and can't be deleted earlier.
Show me the email from Mark where he informs Laura Petrova that he is seeking legal counsel. Please provide links to the source emails.
Tips for better results
- Be specific. Name the sender, the recipient or the topic.
- Give a date range, even a rough one such as "last summer." Without one, the search is slower and less precise.
- Ask for sources so you can open the original messages.
- Ask the assistant to run several searches when you want a complete picture, as in the second Project Horizon example.
Limits of the demo
- Only the first part of a very long email body is indexed, as in any scope, so content near the end of long newsletters may not be found. See Store in AI.
- The demo is shared sample data. It doesn't show your own email or your organization's access rules.
To index your own email, see Store in AI.
Troubleshooting
| Symptom | Cause | Fix |
|---|---|---|
| Asked to sign in again | The 24-hour demo account session expired | Sign in again with the demo account address. |
| Answers are vague or miss messages | Question too broad, or no date range | Add the sender, a date range or an identifier. Ask for a count first. |
| You see your organization's email instead of the demo | You signed in with your own address, which is linked to your organization's scope | Disconnect, then sign in again with the demo account address. |
