What is an SPF Record?
In many cases when using mxHero as a cloud service it is recommended that you configure your domain with an SPF Record. An SPF record is text within your domain's DNS configuration that tells other email servers that email coming from mxHero's cloud service is authorized.
For a more in-depth explanation of what an SPF record is and why you should configure one read About SPF records.
Configuring SPF for mxHero Services
Use the following configuration when setting your domain for use with mxHero:
v=spf1 include:_spf.mxhero.com ~all
Configuring SPF for mxHero Services with Google Apps
We created a consolidated SPF record which includes Google's SPF configuration. Use the following when setting your Google Apps domain for use with mxHero:
v=spf1 include:_spf-gmail.mxhero.com ~all
See Configure SPF records to work with Google Apps but use the above line for item 3.
Google also offers a convenient listing of many different DNS services and how to alter text records with each. See Add a TXT record (host-specific steps)
I have Google Apps on own domain (free).
Please show how should look like the SPF record
and what to do with a present on the hosting record:
v=spf1 include:_spf.google.com ~all
